You may want to avoid WineTools as the Wine devs specifically say not to use it, wine is also up to version 0.9.12 now (incase anyone here, like many others thought the 20050901 version was the latest).
Yeah, WineTools hasn't worked properly with Wine for some time afaik consequently the Wine devs don't want people using it as they get flooded with bugs about it. Would make sense for Gentoo to mask it too.
Wine seems to release a new version every week now, which is nice.
