Sound Card & Bookshelf Speaker Question

Hi, my current speakers just blew, I was wondering is there a way to connect my two bookshelf speaker to my sound card audigy zs? What kind of cable can i use to connect it if its' possible?

    Those bookshelf speakers would need to be connected to a receiver/amp, and the amp would have to be connected to the card. You can't directly connect the speakers.

    Thrax is right. Since the sound card outputs a line-level / headphone signal (a weak signal that can either be amplified by an amp or used to directly power headphones, which don't use much power since they're next to your ear), you wouldn't hear anything come out of the speakers if you hooked the sound card directly to the speakers' + and - inputs. I don't think it'd be unsafe to try, though.
