My retarded arse downloaded this from some unknown location, I've tried to kill it with Windows Defender but it doesn't seem to have any effect on this unstoppable beast. I guess trying to kill it with Defender is like trying to blow up a tank with a bow and arrow, so I really need some help. I looked on google and it seems you guys helped some guy out in the past with this sort of problem, mind helping another semi-retarded guy out?

Would be must appreciated , I really don't want to have to drag this thing into the shop again :banghead: .

Hi. Welcome to Short Media. Please download Hijack This from here. Unzip the program to it's own folder. Run the program and have it do a system scan and save a log file. The log will open in notepad. Copy and paste the entire contents of the log into this thread on your next reply.

Please download Brute Force Uninstaller to your desktop.

• Right-click the BFU folder on your desktop, and choose Extract All
• Click "Next"
• In the box to choose where to extract the files to,
• Click "Browse"
• Click on the + sign next to "My Computer"
• Click on "Local Disk ( C: ) or whatever your primary drive is
• Click "Make New Folder"
• Type in BFU
• Click "Next", and Uncheck the "Show Extracted Files" box and then click "Finish".

RIGHT-CLICK HERE and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download QooFix.bat by LonnyRJones.
Save it in the same folder you made earlier (c:\BFU).

Please close ALL other open windows & explorer folder's, then double-click on QooFix.bat.
Choose option #1 (Qoolfix autofix) and follow the prompts.
Please be patient, it will take about five minutes.
Then please post back with a fresh Hijack This log.

No. It didn't do it. I made a mistake. Sorry . You also have a Look2Me infection. We need to take care of that first and then we need to run the qoofix.bat file again. Follow the instructions below:

Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop.

• Close all windows before continuing.
• Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
• Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
• You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
• When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
• You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
• When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
• Your computer will then shutdown.
• Turn your computer back on.
• Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

If you receive a message from your firewall about this program accessing the internet please allow it.

If you receive a runtime error '339' please download MSWINSCK.OCX from the link below and place it in your C:\Windows\System32 Directory.

There is one more entry I just noticed. Please run Hijack This again and put a check next to the following:

O23 - Service: Windows Overlay Components - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\yqrcnye.exe (file missing)

Close all other browsers/windows and click Fix Checked.

Reboot the PC and post another log so we can see if this one goes away.
