K8NNeo2 HTT wont go past 210

edited April 2006 in Hardware
Hey i've been working on ocing my cpu lately but for some reason my FSB/HTT wont go past 210. Im using 4x 512mb cheapo value ram (was given to me, can't complain :D ) but its obviously not goo at all for ocing. I have a 3:2 divider, with my FSB at 209 and my memory running at 137 (stock is 133). Also i've tried HT/LDT 4x and 5x with no difference. In addition i've tried 3 different BIOS's.

EDIT: Also before the OC the memory was running 1:1 at 200 so i figure 137ish should be alright..

Hey bballs91, welcome to Short Media!

I'm surprised you were able to run PC2100 ram at PC3200 speeds, that is some awesome value ram if that is the case! :)

HTT/LDT multi shouldn't need adjustment at 210MHz. What are your memory timings at currently? You may also want to try to remove two sticks, and see if you have the same issue running 2x512MB.

What memory dividers does your board support? If you can use something even lower than 133MHz (2/3), that would be good for testing to see if it is actually the RAM.

Let us know how it goes!
