Living rag dolls!

We've all seen rag dolls in games, bouncing around and slamming off walls in HL2, being pulled into crude 'YMCA' body sculptures in Oblivion (try it, it's fun!) but with their next-gen Indiana Jones game for the '360 Lucasarts have taken body physics one step further. Imagine rag dolls with brains, limbs that don't just bounce off objects as they fall but reach out and grab hold of things to slow their descent and put their hands out to cushion their fall.... Rag dolls mimic dead bodies, these new character models mimic living people being thrown around.

I can't imagine that this is perfected yet, but the idea seems like a good one. I think it's a step in the right direction for real-life combat games as well. Imagine playing something like BF or HL and shooting someone in the leg only to see them fall and crawl around realistically. could make for some interesting first person gaming too.

Will NPCs grovel and beg for mercy realistically when I do them "execution style" in Postal X? ;D
