Im sure this is something really stupid..

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A105 with the duo core 1.83, 120 GB, and 1 gb memory and I can't get it to access the internet. I have taken McAfee off and added a different program for my antivirus/spyware so that they dont have any issues. I tried getting on the internet with a dialup, but at the last step it told me that there was some random error and I needed to restart or something. Then I tried to go wireless. My computer showed great signal strength and received the network, but again when I tried to get on the internet, there was nothing. Did I take something out that I need, when I got rid of McAffee , or is there something I need to do in the setup of my new software(PC-Cillin), or do I need to do something in Control Panel? Thanks

    Are you going through the 'create new network connection'?
    It sounds like all of the hardware works. Now it is just software....
