Paul Otellini at a financial analyst's spring meeting announced that Intel will be pulling Woodcrest server launch into this quarter.
Otellini also talked about Merom, Conroe and Woodcrest, and said that the firm is moving rapidly to a next generation design which will include a threefold performance per watt boost.

Merom in August will coincide with the natural notebook refresh.

He said Intel will transform Xeon DP product line to Woodcrest to the tune of 75 per cent by Q4.

Sounds like Intel's work on their new generation of processors must be going well. I hope that they roll out all their new stuff quickly too. That should make the prices on the older Intel stuff drop to bargain basement levels and maybe it will make AMD drop the ASP on their dual core procs down too.
