I just read the following page which talks about how the Wii will use new "ways of presentation" along with the comments that followed.

The hype around this console is growing a lot, but Ive heard everything from rumors that you wont need a TV, to it will be like virtual reality, to it will project hlograms.

All sounds great but not easy to do and meet a fair consumer price.

Well check out this video that shows Total Imersion D'fusion tech in action: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3857855347623051125&q=video+revolution+demo&pl=true

There are more on Total Immersions website:

Also I have heard quotes from Miyamoto saying something to the affect of "we need to move video games beyond the confines of the TV screen and into the entire living room."

If this rumor is true, Nintendo is about to blow up!

I must say, I'm more excited about this console more than any console ever!

Pretty cool stuff!

I have to see to believe!

So people believe the Wii will have this level of technology?

Dude, if this system really does launch with games like this, I'll buy it out of principle alone.

hmm, I don't quite follow, their technology keeps talking about inserting 3D models into video rather than anything holographic and that what you were seeing was them through a camera and then the 3D objects added in realtime to that live video feed. Nothing holographic.

Indeed, nothing holographic. I can see their (....exotic) controller being used as the interaction wand for D'Fusion technology, but it seems really gimmicky.

Obviously people misunderstood what they were actually looking at in that D'Fusion video. Even so, it's things like that which will open new doors for types of games we've never even imagined before.
