WIFI MAX Problem (no signal)

edited May 2006 in Science & Tech
Ive been on various forums and sorted out all the problems i had with this device, limited or no connection problem etc. But now i cant get a signal.

I can't figure out why but there just isnt a signal coming from it so my DS can't connect to it when i go to DS Download Play. It just says "Looking for software available for download..." and ofcourse never finds it.

Does anyone know whats wrong?

Any help would be very much appreciated as ive had it up to here! with it >:(

The DS justd eosn't find any nearby networks? Or another device doesn't find any?

Usually the first thing I look for is if there is a switch or button for the wireless radio.. especially when I KNOW there are AP's nearby that are up and working.

The WIFI MAX device doesnt put out a signal therefore the DS can't pick anything up. And theres no buttons on the wifi max :/

If that's the thing you have... I noticed alot of horror stories associated with it. I have never seen a wireless connection that was connected and yet.. no signal? Doesn't make sence.

I'm reading the same thing about this product. Have you updated everything to the latest driver/firmware/software?

Make sure ICS is enabled for the dongle connection.

    I fixed the problem.

To try and setup the wifi connection i was trying to do it by pressing "Ds Download Play" on the first menu of the DS.

You have to actually start a game and configure the wifi through that. Then it gets a signal and then you can get it to work :grumble:
