Hey, can you install any themes without the 3rd party bloatware/"share"ware? I dont really like the themes that M$ gives me, but i dont really wanna use any third party software.:type:

    I love how when you click the more themes selection in the theme drop-down list it takes you to a page on the MS site to BUY SCREENSAVERS. What the hell...

    Investigate the UXTheme Multi Patcher patch for Windows XP. But TGTSoft's StyleXP is best -- and it's not bloatware, but it is shareware.

    yeh, note the quotation marks i used, i dont mind shareware as much, i just hate it when the "share"ware just happens to have some nifty bots or malware integrated into it.

    Those quotes meant nothing to me.

    Anyways, StyleXP is king.

    I have the patched uxtheme.dll on XP x64 and it works great. No 3rd party software, just the patched dll allowing me to install unsigned themes.
