Can't access Msconfig, Help plz

Help,

Try to run msconfig but can't, windows pop up saying 'Window cannot find 'msconfig'. I had a few viruse in the past but there clean now could that be the cause?

    It's possible that your MSCONFIG file was corrupted or deleted by past viruses; try downloading a new version and saving it to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 or wherever your SYSTEM32 folder is.

    Vagrantx, you might want to open a Command Prompt and run sfc /scannow - that will verify all of your system files. Have your Windows CD handy when you start.

    If you run into more trouble like this down the road, it may be a good idea to start a thread in our Spyware/Virus/Trojan Discussion Forum and make sure the virus you had is completely dead and has had a stake pounded through its evil heart. Make sure you read the instructions for posting in the SVT Forum if you need to go that route. :)

    hello,

    Just got another problem not sure if sfc /scannow cause this but my CounterStrike (FPS Game) is having some problems. I tried reinstalling it but didn't work the hl.exe just hang on me. Any ideas?

    Hanging application hl.exe, version 1.1.1.1, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

    Did SFC tell you that it replaced any files?

    You might try reinstalling your AGP driver and Video drivers (in that order).
