Hi All,

Right to the point, Machine:

ASUS SLI Deluxe MoBo
AMD 3200+ XP (never OC'ed)
2 GB Memory (tests OK)
Boot Drive: 180 GB Hitachi SATA II on SATA 1 connector
Storage Drives: 2-120 GB WD's SATA I's, RAID0, (thanks-works fine now)
IDE Storage Drawer: 1-80 GB WD PATA
Coolmax 600W P/S (just installed last weekend)
Radeon x550 x16? digital video (No SLI)
Winmodem (backup)
1 - DVD multi reader
1 - DVD multi writer

OS: XP SP2 fully updated with all MS fixes.

PROBLEM: When machine completes POST all seems fine (checked BIOS - all OK); however, when NTLDR appears to pick up, the screen flickers for a second (not unusual) and then the XP Logo appears as if in 1/2 contrast (with no blue sliders moving across); about 5 seconds later the XP Logo and screen becomes fully bright and almost immediately (1 - 2 seconds) it reboots. I once saw a BSOD but that was 15 reboots ago and it went by too fast. Machine has a software package that automatically "reboots" it if power failure. I'll bet that's why it does not stay "OFF" as selected in Power Mode (so I once could read my BSOD's.)

HISTORY: I had intermittant boot problems until I islolated it to a bad non-click SATA data connector; replaced connector and it has worked fine since (I 10x checked it and replaced it again today after problem began, but the problem continues).

I really need this machine online tomorrow AM, and would appreciate any suggestions or guidance, thanks.

Regards,
