Hosting game servers through network router problem.
I'm an amateur PC user, I have recently installed a router so I can get the internet onto two machines.
However now people are unable to locate or connect to my hosted internet games.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Thanks in advance.

I'm using the default ports, I haven't changed anything.
Thanks.
The IP address to which you want to forward is that of the machine hosting the games. To find out the IP address, Click Start > Run. Type "cmd" (without quotes) and press enter. Now type "ipconfig" (without quotes) and press enter. It should show a few listings. You want the IP address, which will probably be 192.168.1.xxx, where the x's signify some number.
Hope this helps!
//Edit: Let's find those ports, then!

Read through that entirely. Feel free to ask any questions about things you don't understand. It'll give some good insight. Once you get it configured, let us know if it worked. If not, we'll mess around some more.
If all else fails, you can always reset the router to factory defaults by holding the little reset button in the back for about 10 seconds. Keep in mind this will remove any configuration that may have been setup on the router.
