How would I be able to run DDR500 with this setup if I bought DDR500 ram? I have heard of being able to use DDR500 on overclocked systems.

If I overclocked the DDR500 to run at 273mhz on a 1:1 divider, would I run into any problems?

I wish my 3700 would break 3000. My memory rocks though. i think the secret is TCCD chips. My Geil ONE memory goes to 2.5-4-4-7 1T at 620mhz.

    This is good too.

I have been too lazy to really test my memory, I will get on it in a day or two... But I dont think I will get 273 with my ddr400, and I really want a 1:1 divider if possible.
Ill have to check into that ram though.

Mine is almost impossible to find, (1.5-2-2-5 at 400 or 2.5-4-4-7 at 600) but the one I posted is close. It makes it real easy to OC straight up.

I have tried to get my 3700+ past 2910mhz but that seems the limit. How did you get to 3000 on air?

I couldnt get it past 2900 with my case closed, so I opend up my case and my CPU temp dropped around 4-5C (46C by the way) during full load and it ran fine, I didnt bother going past 3000, seems fast enough for me. Im not sure what Im going to do about my case, I might have to cut a hole in the side of my case for a 120mm fan right above the cpu.

im building a watercooling system this week and I think il remove the cover to the cpu also. Cross my fingers...lol

First I have to say, Well done!

I think yow should be able to get to around 250 with your memory and looser timings on max voltage. Going to a quality DDR 500 set would work and likely not hinder you. Expect the price of the memory you seek for this to not be cheap!
