Problem: SATA Hard Drive not Recognized by Asus A8N Premium

Ok, my second hard drive is ide and my primary is on sata. but i can't get it to reconise that the sata is the primary, im useing a asus a8n premium if that has any meaning to solving my problem

i formated it with the windows cd but when i boot it says an error has occured press ctrl alt del

    Did Windows install successfully on the SATA drive? Did you use the SATA driver disk when doing the install?
