BlueYonder closes gaming service & file mirror

edited October 2003 in Science & Tech
[blockquote]BlueYonder, the ISP wing of Telewest, is shutting down its multiplayer games service.

In a statement posted on its bygames web site, the company said it is to concentrate on its core business of Internet service provision. It will now leave content provision to others.

The service shuts on November 5, a little more than two years after a glitzy launch. Subscribers get their last month free. [/blockquote]

This is the loss of a really good, heavyweight game file mirror (who was free!).

Fileshack is quite cheap. Only $5/mo. Only problem is you can only download one file at a time :(
