Same problem new error message.

What happened before the problem started.

The system was left on to down load a progarm while i went to work came home and system was locked up and i did a hard boot and now i have this problem.

The first error message.

Windows could not start becouse the following file is missing or
corrupt :
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

You can attemp to repair this file by starting Windows Setup
using the original Setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair

What I did.

I install Windows Setup disk in to the CD-ROM drive.
Ok I have loaded in to Recovery Console and i have issued these commands.

What happening now.

Now when I try to load in to windows I get new error message.

Windows could not start becouse the following file is missing or
corrupt :
<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.

Need help with this error.

    The same Bootcfg /rebuild guide I taught you on your older thread will fix your new problem too.

    Tryed that still wont take the c:\>Attrib -H -R -S boot.ini command Should i skip that one.

    As I suggest twice in the other thread, you have to use this command:

    C:\>ATTRIB -H -R -S C:boot.ini

    And if it says invalid command, do this:

    C:\>ATTRIB -H C:boot.ini
    C:\>ATTRIB -R C:boot.ini
    C:\>ATTRIB -S C:boot.ini

    Then continue as the guide suggests.

    Saw thread u are talking about tryed all the way and still get.

    C:\>ATTRIB -H -R -S C:boot.ini
    The parameter is not valid. Try /? for help

    C:\>ATTRIB -H C:boot.ini
    That work thx.
