Question mplayer/quicktime?
Hi, I have mplayer installed and running and I'd like to configure it to play quicktime videos, Don't know how? anyone know?
Thanks. fvs
Same problem as you were having with Flash. mPlayer provides binary codecs for closed, proprietary formats like QuickTime, Real, and Windows Media but only on x86 and PowerPC. I suspect this is because they are wrapping Windows DLLs to do the job. If you want support for these formats you're going to need to run a 32-bit version of mPlayer and install the separate codecs package (mplayer-codecs on FC5, media-libs/win32codecs on Gentoo).
drasnor, I removed Fedora 5 64bit version and reinstalled the i386 32 bit version, All works great. But I still have a few issues, I have all the codec's from stanton-finley, problem is that it will play movies in browser but not completely load quicktime movies on all sites?
Thanks. fvs
