bad experience with invalid RAID set ( recover succuessfully, but waste time/money)
I m just here to share my experience ...
I was using a PCI add-on card with sil3112 chipset, and 2 SATA HDD for RAID 1.
I had an unexpected power failure while I was using GHOST 9 and thereafter my RAID drives were unaccessable...
then I checked the RAID menu at startup, the 2 SATA drives became an "invalid RAID set" ...
I unplugged 1 SATA drive and del the mirror, the other one was intact just in case data are not recoverable and I need to send to recovery specialist. then I used the software FINALDATA to recover the data from the 1 drive and copy to another new ATA drive (waste $ just to buy that to recover it... ). The data recovery was successful (luckily...)
does anyone had similar "INVALID RAID set" experience? and how did that happen?
