SM-LAN Event: Duct-Tape Engineering Challenge
What: A contest of skills... duct-taping skills! Teams of three (3) will face-off against each other to engineer the best duct-tape something at the LAN!
Where: The exact contest location will be determined by the nature of the challenge.
When: During the SM-LAN, of course! Saturday the 24th at 2:00 PM EST
The Details: The contest is simple - which team can build the best something out of duct tape? The contest is also very complex - the something must be constructed entirely from duct tape. Each team will be provided with one (1) roll of duct tape at the beginning of the challenge. The teams will then be given between 1 and 2 hours to build something out of the duct tape. When the time expires, the duct tape projects will be judged against each other by how well they meet the challenge, engineering prowess, and innovation & ingenuity. What the teams will be required to build will not be revealed before the beginning of the challenge
The Judges:
The Prize: The Prize is a Team 93 "Join Folding" T-shirt for each member of the winning team!
Please PM me to confirm your entry. Teams can be randomly assigned, or self-selecting. Post any questions or comments in this thread.

Therefore, any "Team Nexlia-durrrrrr" members are banned from entering the Duct-Tape Engineering Challenge at Short-Media LAN.
The problem is this: Team Nexlia has a set of construction techniques that we've been refining for years, and everyone knows them. If a member of team Nexlia went to another team, I'd know that those construction techniques were going there, and when they showed up, that team would rate pretty low for innovation & ingenuity in my book - if anything, having a Nexlian on the team might be a hindrance to overall project score. (The contest we participate in at LANWAR only counts project performance for the win, not innovation, otherwise we probably wouldn't do as well, copying ourselves every time!)

The prize is yet to be determined. Basically, I plan on taking all the money that is left after buying the duct tape, and using it to get the prize.
You can form a team of 3 in advance. Anyone who is not already in a team will be assigned to random teams. I don't know how much advance planning you can really do, though, because I'm not going to announce what you'll be building until the event begins.
The Pink Team rides again
(Am I allowed to guess publicly, or do you want a PM? )
Everyone knows that kids are more creative and innovative than old folks (like me). This whole business is rigged - rigged, I tell you!
From the looks of things, so is he.

Yeah, didn't you see my post on the Nexlia forum about it? I want at least 2 of the Nexlians to be the other judges.
