I prefer Logitech to any other brand of mouse, and I have use all the major ones extensively at one time or another.

I'd go with the Logitech if you're going for one single mouse for both daily use and gaming. The Razer mice don't seem to lend themselves to multipurpose use.

the G5 seems like it would be more comfortable, but I love the look of the copperhead.

how bout the krait? its alot cheaper, but is it good?

Can't think of a single reason not to use a Razor mouse outside of a game. Until the recent review on SM I've not seen that opinion voiced anywhere.

Not to say that people don't think that way of course, I just think its quite an odd statement to make.

I'm using a Diamondback after 5+ years of using Microsoft mice.

is the krait the same shell/body as the copperhead, just with different internals and colors?

The Krait has become my daily "user".. The Copperhead is too uncomfortable (for me) to be used for anything other than gaming. The Krait and Copperhead are totally different bodies. The Krait is considerably smaller than the Copperhead.

It's a tossup between the G5 and the Krait. I honestly like them both a lot. I finished the review on the Krait and never unplugged it. My poor G5 is sitting there looking at me like "why?".

    That might say something. :-/

I did read the review and I saw that you said you have small hands which makes the copperhead akward....i guess i have kinda big hands. I saw a survey that the average hand length is 7.3 inches from the tip of the middle finger, down to the beginning of the palm, anyway my hand is just over 8 inches so yea i dont know if that would make it better fitting or not.

anyway my friend who works at bestbuy said they have all 3 mice on display so I'll just go out and check to see which is more comfortable. I'll probably buy on newegg because they are like $25 more at bestbuy

If I read prime's review correctly, the krait has no side buttons at all. I am dysfunctional when I use a mouse with no side buttons - my APM goes way down when web browsing, because I have to move the mouse all the way up to the back and forward buttons in the browser, instead of just clicking the side buttons. Then again, I've also found myself squeezing the side of a mouse without side buttons, because I'm so used to having them.

Yea, the side buttons would be really nice to have. I like wireless, too bad the G7 is like $100

The G7 is an excellent mouse. Probably the best wireless mouse out there.

Don't dismiss other options. My MX1000 has 11 buttons that can all be set to whatever I want. I have had zero problems with it. It would have to be a really special mouse that replaces it.

Yes, if you really want wireless, I think the MX1000 would be a good bet. They're going for around $50 now, I think.

But six of them are at the wheel and are quite discrete and could be ignored. It must be worth a look.
