Driver update

Hi,
I wish to update SoundMax Analog Devices Integrated Digital Audio driver version 5.12.01.3663.
Would be most grateful if a forum member/moderator could provide an appropriate download link.

    Hi
    I wounder what motherboard you are using, most often the driver can be downloaded from their site.
    Do you have any other multimedia cards in your computer such as a tv-tuner or capture card?

    If you are uncertain then download the AIDA32 - Personal System Information 3.93, and list the hardware.
    Then inform us what system cards you have installed, motherboard and chipset.

    I'm not certain, but does not the VIA 4 in 1 driver Package Service v4.49, include the sound driver ?.
    That's if you are using the VIA chipset...

    My 'computer knowledge' is limited, to say the least and will wait for further advise from you with respect to the Asus download links you provided.

    There is no tv-tuner or capture card installed to my PC.
    Please find below my system information:-

    Platform: OS Microsoft Win32 XPPro Version 5.12600 SP2 Build 2600
    Processor: x86 Family 15 Model 3 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~2400Mhz, Pentium4
    MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.0.2900.2180, Total Physical Memory 512MB
    Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with Hotfix (KB8866903), Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0: x86 (KB829019), XP Hotfixes and Security Updates are current, (automatically downloaded/installed).
    Asus P4V8X-X motherboard, VIA PT800/P4X533 Chipset Series, NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 v8.4.2.1.

    Please advise if this info is insufficient - (AIDA32 is 'loaded' with additional data and I am happy to provide whatever is required).

    Hi Karl,
    Sometimes it is not so easy to find the place were they keep the files for the motherboard.

    Anyway here you can find all the files for your motherboard. ( you find them via the "Download" tabulate , located on the left side )
    Then select drivers tabulate and " SoundMAX Audio Driver version 5.12.01.3663 WHQL driver for Windows 98SE,ME,2000,XP" (the 2'nd from the top)

    Can some one find me a correct update for my soundmax integrated? because every version i downloaded when installed it gives me the "did not find the specific driver" error.
    my driver is
