Installed XP on new C: drive now can't see D: drive

I changed out the OS drive on one of my boxes and installed XP MCE on it. Now it can't seem to find the D: drive (data). I have checked all the jumper settings and cables without any correction.

Thoughts?

    I removed the extra hard drive and one of the video cards. Then I reinstalled Win XP MCE. Still the same situation.

    Ideas?
