I constantly see site-spidering spambots posting in there, and crapping up the "Last post" box for our news section. Has this post been set up as a deliberate honey pot?
It's more of a constant sore spot for the staff. We don't know why it's a constant spam draw, and we've done a lot of things to try and correct it... it just doesn't work.
I've deleted that thread from the forum database, but it seems that doesn't remove it from the front page so the bots post as guests on there which still isn't disabled because the stupid function is broken.
Okay, can we delete the news post, then? Not being able to see the legitimate new responces of our members in the news' thread because that box is crapped up with ******* spammers is getting on my nerves. [/run-on]
