Astro Systems VG-823
I have a VG-823 that I've been told is in working order. I have downloaded the 2 part Instruction manual from Astro Systems. But, I still can't figure out how to operate it. I have the RS232 connected to a PC, but the Procomm CTS light is red. Is that ok?
Should something be coming up in the terminal window when I swith the VG-823 on?
I do get a monitor display if I presss the buttons enough, but I really have no clue what I'm doing.
Can someone help me decode the instruction manual?
In terminal mode the manual says START -> ENQ(05H) -> ACK? -> END
Does this mean I type 'ENQ(05H)' in the terminal window or just 05 or what? My LED display does not have a period, so I can't see if it's flashing which means it's in terminal mode.

I just purchased a VG-823 on eBay. I want to use it to set the gray scale on my CRT front projector.
Have you had any more luck learning how to control the unit? Have you been able to locate the control software?
