I asked a guy at work about my problem, and he was able to help me out.
Thanks very much for your assistance though, I'll be sure to come here for any future needs.

edit: I have a problem already.
I'm trying to share files between my winxp machine and my fedora 5 server. I can get the two computers to ping each other, and I'm also on the same workgroup with each machine, but I can't seem to find any shared files :-/

First let's check to see if Samba support is installed. Samba is a client/server compatible with Windows File and Printer sharing. Go into yum and see if you can find it. If it isn't installed then install it.

Next, your network configuration tool should have a tab for File Sharing. Verify that it is configured the way you want it.

After that, open up the Computer icon on the desktop and select Network/Windows Network and then see if your Windows PC's shares show up there.
