Recommendations for Laser Printer

edited May 2006 in Hardware
I am looking to buy another laser printer and it is important that I can print, using the automatic feed tray, using 67 lb. card or media stock. Preferably doing this without bending the sheet too much from both a sharp bend and heat and hopefully for under $400. Which one would you suggest?

That shouldnt be too hard. $400? B&W or Color. You can get a pretty damn nice B&W laser printer for $400..

This looks like it should do, says it will print heavy media.

    AHH LASER PRINTERS!!!

I have the Samsung ML-1740 (yes I have it memorized) and it's probably the best computer-related part I've ever bought! I got it for around $60-$70 shipped on eBay, brand new in box, maybe 6 months ago. My page count is about 750 pages and I've only refilled the toner ONCE ($9 on eBay) :hair: Its a wonderful printer. Graphics don't print so well, but text is perfect - mostly all I use it for.

I think my model is discontinued now, but here's some other very similar ones:

    $9!!!???

well, I guess thats about right since you dont get as many pages. I have a minolta page pro 1350watt. I love it. my tone cartridge is good for like 1500 pages. Only bad thing about it is that it sucks the electricity like none other.

It wasn't even empty yet on the included cartridge, but I bought a refill kit and filled it up anyways. It's still running strong at over 750 pages.
