WRT54GL Virgin

I just picked up this router last week after replacing my network card on my Desktop. It's working well actually found it to be highly reccomeded by short media users in some other threads.
Since getting everything set up I am having one problem I can't seem to figure out. I can't access anything shared on my PC from my laptop. I can access shared on my Laptop from my PC though.
I can't imagine what I am overlooking at this point, not to mention I am totally green with the wireless aspect.
I've been through the routers configurations over and over again!
Could someone please help with some advice on things I could check?

    wow, I had these problems, tell me, are you using different operating systems? more specifically, are you using xp pro and home on the same network, because this is where I had all of my problems. Home just doesnt have the networking strengths that pro does. I had a hard time getting them to play nice together, and it still isnt as snappy as it should be.

    I have XP home edition on both the laptop and the PC. I didn't have any problems networking and using shared from either computer prior to the new router. The older D-Link router I had though didn't have wireless capabilities.

    Yeh, if both are on home, i dont think you would have problems, but when I tried to mix home and pro on the same network, it threw a fit and I had to beat M$ into submission.
