Invisible Pop-Ups?

Hey guys (and gals?),

I am having a weird issue...it seems like I am having invisible pop-up ads. When running programs (Microsoft Flight Sim 2004) the sound for a pop-up block will come on (no IE page open) and the program will minimize. The sound will usually come in sets of three for four. Occasionally I'll get a voice ad with no trace of where it may be coming from.

Any help is appreciated. Here is my HjT log (currently running ewido online scan):

    Hi Chris Hanvy

    Let's try this first.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

    Please download AproposFix from here:
    http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/aproposfix.exe

Save it to your desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Then please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
    1) Restart your computer
    2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click aproposfix.exe and unzip it to the desktop. Open the aproposfix folder on your desktop and run RunThis.bat. Follow the prompts.

When the tool is finished, please reboot back into normal mode, and post a new HijackThis log, along with the entire contents of the log.txt file in the aproposfix folder.

    Ok :)

    Couple of things to do:

Move HjT into own folder -> c:\hjt

Fix with HjT (do a system scan only, checkmark these and press fix checked):
O23 - Service: Command Service (cmdService) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\XP\Q2hyaXMgSGFudnk\command.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Windows Overlay Components - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\XP\adyizgw.exe (file missing)

Please click Start > Run and type in: services.msc
    Click OK
In the Services window find: Command Service (cmdService)
Select/highlight and right click the entry, and choose: Properties
On the General tab, under Service Status click the Stop button
Beside: Startup Type, in the drop menu, select: Disabled
    Click Apply, then OK

    Repeat with Windows Overlay Components

Now, go to Start > Run, and copy/paste the following into the Open box:
    sc delete cmdService
    Click: OK

    Repeat with Windows Overlay Components

Reboot and send a fresh HjT log

Thank you, sir. I'll certainly do that...I'm getting to ready to head out of town so it might be a few days before I get back with you. Thanks for your patience.
