So ofcorse i am a 64 Bit man and love playing games..I dedcided to get the demo of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.I know its been out for a while but BF2 and Hitman have had me hooked for a while now.

I loved the demo so much that i decided to buy it off of D2D (Direct 2 Drive)
After making my purchase and downloading the game i got everything setup for install. The install was perfectly fine.I recieved my cd keys from D2D and started up the game.

As soon as i started the Single player i recieved an error message basicly telling me that the game will only play on win 98,2000,ME,and Xp.
I then started to panic. Here i have a game i just bought and installed and i cant even play it.I searched around Ubi's site for some support and found no fix for this.

The single player demo works perfectly but the full ver. wont even start due to incompatible OS..

As much as i love D2D it was very disappointing to hear that they would not give me a full refund for the game.

AMD 3200+ 2.4Ghz
6800gt Albatron Ovclk'd alot :)
1gig Muskin Pro
26" ilo display HDTV
and the biggie in this case...Windows Xp 64 Bit Edition

Looks like your in the same boat as alot of people - a quick google shows many people have the same issue
According to this benchmarking site they could not get it to work for their performance tests http://www.hardocp.com/articleprint.html?article_id=765

Your problem is caused by the starforce protection being incompatable with 64Bit OS
A quick check of the Wiki confirms this and suggests a possible work around

So it looks like this Crack by "reloaded" works. The only problem is that it seems to only work on Euro versions of the game and not U.S :(

Your problem is Starforce. While SC:CT will run on a 64-bit Windows, Starforce will not. This is one of the many extra little things that caused Ubisoft to drop Starforce like a ton of bricks.

If you really wanna play SC:CT before some future patch comes out, (hopefully), your best bet is to dual boot. I say that sadly, as to be honest, Starforce is incredible at what it does. It does it in massively evil ways, and I hate it dearly, but it does work... on certain platforms.

Be glad that Double Agent won't have the same starforce, and... well... just remember, a Starforce senior staffer posted a torrent to GalCivII because it was an example, to him, of what happens when you don't copy protect your games.

Well i have done some reading and seen that people are using this" RELOADED" crack to play the game because it some how removes the starforce stuff or something. When i first read that people were able to play i was happy thinking that i just might be able to play it.BUT i got shot down! The "RELOADED" crack does work but only for euro ver. of the game not U.S.
Sp once again i am sad that i just spent $19 at D2D and still no go :(

I really hope this new SSplinter Cell doesnt have this starforce crap.Im am not going back to 32bit!
