Nvidia drivers for 7900GS arent working
Hi i just got my laptop today (inspiron E1705, t2500 cpu, 1.25 gigs of ram, 7900 gs card). When I try to update the drivers for my GO 7900 GS, I get an error saying "the Nvidia setup program could not find any drivers compatable with your current hardware.
I also tried the beta drivers found here, http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_winxp_2k_32bit_91.31.html and the same exact thing happens. I found some omega drivers and they worked, I would just much rather have the official nvdia drivers. Any ideas why its doing this?

Simple enough, Dell isn't supporting any drivers other than what they have on their site and it's hardcoded on the card.
There is a workaround and a rather simple one that is.
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/90series/9131.exe
Download that and unpack it (don't install yet)
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/90series/9131inf/nv4_disp.inf
Download that and put it in the unpacked driver sets. Install and enjoy.
Hey MackanzOCZ, Do you know if HP does the same thing? I haven't seen or heard that they don't support the new drivers, But I don't think I want to go through the trouble to find out.
