Harddrives and ghost images

Hey guys,

This is brought on by the conversation about laptop harddrives. My Toshiba notebook comes with ghost images for WinXP/Win2k installs and I'm wondering if I install (ie replace the existing drive) a new harddrive (say a 7200rpm drive), will there be any driver issues when throwing the image back on? Or is changing a harddrive transparent to the OS or ...?

TIA,
Shiv

the worst that might happen is that the system won't boot into windows which at that point all you do is a restore or recover ...that happened with 2 of my systems that were not even the same mobos or processors and I just did the install routine and at some point it tells you you already have an os would you like to restore and tell it yes and pop in the cd!

I have changed HD's and used Ghost installs on several machines with no problems.
