I have a desktop thats hooked up to a wireless router (by wires) but the lap top is connected to the wireless router wirelessly. they are on the same network and are both wirelessly connected and able to share files.........

i have a HP printer (not wireless) hooked up to the desktop....

my question is, is there a way i can wirelessly hook the laptop up to the printer, like making it go trough the desktop first or something?

Use the "Add printer" wizard, and select the options that allow you to locate one on the network.

You might have to share the printer first.
