Virus Disinfection and System Repair
Hello Everyone:
I'm new to your forum, having just found it this morning in the process of trying to figure out how to take my computer back from a virus attack that has disabled my internet access (explorer), my printers and who knows what else!
I'm wondering if you can help me because I have no idea what to do next and am contemplating reinstalling everything (as the path of least resistance). I have run avast and bitdefender. Avast showed nothing, but bitdefender id'd 3 viruses. Here's a paste of bitdefender's virus scan log:

This log is greek to me. System restore is off (but after I ran bitdefender because I couldn't even access the system restore tab until after running bitdefender and avast).
These are the symptoms/issues I've noticed: SLOW performance, freezing, inability to turn on certain programs at all (internet explorer, help, some system functions in control panel) because the mouse clicks don't seem to register. My printer is no longer showing as installed either.
My computer no longer has internet access (I'm using a different machine on a dial up) and I have already tried to re-configure or re-set the internet connection to no avail.
Like I said, I would have just re-installed from scratch, but I'm wary that the virus would still be there and just do the same again.
Are any of you able to advise me? Many thanks!!
