my RAM makes me crazy

i just installed an extended 512MB DRAM PC2100 in my pc,and then its start getting crazy!it aint boot at all...i just dunno know why??can both 512MB DRAM pc2700 and 512MB pc2100 DRAM works together?...i just know that my pc use pc2700 type RAM..pls help me!:sawed:

    ... it was turned off when you installed it wasn't it?
    Also if the machine is still trying to run at 2700 rather than 2100 that would explain a few things although it should clock itself down to what the RAM in the machine is.

    Though regardless, as Citrix said, specifications please.
