help!!

edited June 2006 in Science & Tech
i recently deleted excess user accounts on my lap top, and left it so that only one is left. however, when i would sign onto windows, the sign in screen would pop up, and i would have to click it, even though i did not have a password. i tried to change that, by clicking skip sign in screen in the control panel. the problem is, when i restarted, windows didnt have a sign in screen, but it asked me for a password, which i dont have. so the only way to get into windows is to type in a password which i never set, and do not know. on to of that, i hit f10 on the start up screen, and thought the log in password was the one for windows. so now i have to type in a password just to start the lap top. i have no idea what to do. please help.

Did you try leaving the password box blamk and just hitting {Enter}?

once we figure out how to get you logged in there is a way to bypass that using a program called TweakUI. :)

That sound like a BIOS password. See if you can get into the BIOS and disable it.

What brand and model is the laptop?
