Here's my dilema... I have a 36G Raptor 10,000 rpm that I can put in it and use an IDE HD for backup drive.
Or will this board run the new SATA 11 HD's? by updating, if possible?
Also, Will the SATA 11 7200 rpm HD's run as fast as the 10,000 rpm Raptors?
I can't find anything on the advantages of SATA 11 HD's, or if I can even run them on this mobo.
Thnx for replies in advance friends.

It will run Sata II disks but only at Sata I speeds, to be honest Sata II isn't that much faster than Sata 1. Or at least not on my DFI SLI Expert board anyway

Ahh, OK, So, I'll just use the Raptor 10,000 rpm then.
They've been quite fast compared to the IDE HD's I've used.
    Thnx for the reply Jimborae.
Glad I heard from someone that's using the SATA 11 and could give me some input.

Hey Z! Doing OK friend. Nice to see you pop in and post.
Yepper, I'm going to use one of my 36G Raptors for the main drive.
Just waiting on my Big Typhoon for the CPU and I'll probably get it together this weekend.
