award bios question

is it possible to flash an award bios with a cd-rom drive.. I don't have a floppy drive other than the one i have in NYC and now...im on the isle of longness

    Sure. Just find a bootable DOS CD image and modify it.

    Or use a bootable USB key and put the files on it like you would a floppy.

    I've used it before it works perfectly. You'll have to have a way to add files to an ISO image though. WinRAR, UltraISO, ISOBuster.. one of those will work.

    well i tried ... i made a bootable cd with nero... and i tried to flash my soyo and it said that the file cannot be found...maybe im typing it rong but ohwelli just bought a new mobo anyways...more on that in the hardware

    When booting from a CD it often assigns it a different drive letter, particularly if there is a RAMdisk involved. If you decide to give the old board another shot you might check that out.
