9800 pro OC

edited November 2003 in Hardware
When i overclock my vid card (9800 pro 128mb) i notice that once i get to a certain point, the picture gets scattered with white little pixels all over. This is during Aquamark. Does this mean i have gone to far? or that i just have to increase my voltages more?

This normally means you are pushing your card a little to much. Back off 5-10 mhz and try it again. If it works fine, raise it one or two mhz and try again. Keep raising it till it goes funny again. Once it has done this then you know your safe speed.

There isnt anyway that i could push it a little further?, i mean i dont want to break it, but some extra speed would be nice

No, there's no real way to make it go faster without adding another heatsink, or modifying the hardware.

    Disvengeance,

Care to tell us the clocks you are running?

Does it get better if you reducing the memory clock only?
