FF7 Problem

Is it possible for me to burn a PS1 game on DVD or CD or whatever and play it on my PS2 without any mod chips or anything? I've been playing FF7 (Final Fantasy 7) for a while and I just got to Disc 3 but it keeps freezing up and I tried cleaning the disc and everything. I remember it used to work the last time I played through the game a year or so ago. This time I'm trying to do it without cheats. I have an emulator and the rom on my PC, but it's not the same as playing on the 52'' with the PS2 controller. Anyway, If anyone has any ideas.

Nope, I think you would need a mod chip. Sorry man, I have a toasted disc of FF8 that won't play, so I know the feeling :(

Maybe I'll just go buy another copy. Shouldn't be more than $10 now anyways right?

Its rare to see it for less then $50 usd even the greatest hits edition.

I looked into ebay to replace my damaged copy but it wasn't worth it.

    Heres a good example
it will probably hit over $250 by the end (This ones sealed).

FF7 is a collectors item now.

It's always worth trying to track down used games at Gamestop or EBGames locations, even if they're a couple hundred miles away, since they won't price any used games over $49. I got a super rare Ogre Battle 64 for a fraction of the eBay price, and I just had to keep an eye on the store inventories and make a 2 hour drive one day.

    ... I'm a nerd :buck:

That reminds me -- I've been looking for Daggerfall for a long, long time, and I can't find a good price. I know that the Elder Scrolls site has the sequal to Daggerfall for free download, but not Daggerfall. I was wondering if anyone had it or knew where to get it. I tried Google, Bearshare, and i found a few torrents but I hate torrents so I didn't bother. ANyone have it? It's only 50 MB or so so if someone has it, if they could please like upload it to a free server or something.
