Hi Guys:

My computer just stop and showed a blue screen with a message: " Bad Pool Call", followed by: " If this is the first time that this happens, just restart your computer. If it continues, then review and uninstall recent software installed, since this could be the reason for your problem". It happend twice more in a period of 18 hours. Now, the only recent software installed is Diskeeper. Could this be the culprit? Any input much appreciated. What other causes could there be? Thanks.

Some tips can be found here,

Lets see if you nail it down, a little bit more.
Test your hardware using the famous Ultimate boot,
    http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Also check if you can see any problem in the Event Viewer.
Control Panel -> Computer Management -> System Tools -> Event Viewer.

    Maybe update the chipset/NIC drivers.

OK, I'm back. I followed the threads and for what they say, it could be caused by a multitude of events. Talking about events, I checked them: this is what I saw: in applications, lots of errors with WMIAdapter; in System: lost of errors with W32Time. I also uninstalled a couple of more programs. BTW, I'm using Zone Alarm Pro and AVG Free. I have Ewido, SpyBot and Ad-Aware. I ran everything and I think I am clean as a whistle. Any ideas or suggestions?

Reformatting a corrupted harddrive seems to have done the trick. Thirtysix hours and ticking.
