HDD not recognized by bios

Hard Drive not Recognized! Help, please!

Hello. I found this site while searching for answers to my problem and I am hoping you can help me

I was trying to put 2 hdd in my computer, but I forgot to change the jumper, and I turn on the computer with 2 hdd in master in the some cable (IDE), but he didn't started.:aol:
After I have fixed the problem and restarted my computer, the bios didn't recognized hard drive.
I put only 1 hd like before, but he wasn't reconized by bios. Then I changed de HD and the computer started normally.
The problem is that I have some important information in my old HD and I don't have backup. Please help me. What can I do to save the information.

I put the old HD in another computer, but he don't recognized too.

HDD: Samsung SV2044D (20GB)
rev B 2000.10
Spinpoint V9204h

Please help me, and sorry my bad english, but isn't my native language.

    Quite alright. Now, you say this drive did work before you screwed up the jumper settings?

    I really don't know what to say. If all else fails, there's always the freezer trick, but I don't know how effective that will be here.

    might need to check out ur ide cable.
