Is Radeon X1300 good replacement for 9800 Pro?

I have a chance to get a X1300 256MB mad cheap, and I'm wondering if this card would make a good replacement for my 9800 Pro? I don't want to bother with a new mobo and CPU to get something gooder. Thanks!

    Nooooo.....

    A 9800 Pro will out perform a X1300 any day. The only problem is your 9800 does not support all the new generation technology. a X1600 would be an upgrade from a 9800 Pro.

    No the 9800pro is at least 40% faster.

    How about the 6600GT, is that a step up from the 9800 Pro?

    I have a 9800 pro and a 6600GT and they are.... basically exactly the same. I started a thread about it a while ago. I ended up getting both (they're in my kids' computers) and they are for all intents and purposes equal.

    6600gt = X1600 = 9700 = 9800.

    Tom's hardware guide already has one, and it'd take more work to surpass in functionality than I have time or skill for.

    I'd trust you a lot more than TH, but I understand that it's a lot of work. ;)
