SoundMAX analog output causing BUZZZ

I'm attempting to feed computer audio output via the SoundMAX 5.12.1.3622 jack (Sony VAIO PCV-RS322 desktop) to an analog input on my Harman Kardon amplifier. I've tired various HK audio input and VAIO Sound Device Properties selections but nothing helps. Driver updates didn't help either. The connection is the common green 1/8" used for desktop speakers split to L/R RCA. It works fine with other devices such as an iPod Nano, but the computer audio causes the HK to BUZZZZ very loudly.

Seems like a digital/analog conflict or double amplification, but I believe I've excluded those possibilites. Does anyone know what's going on???

Thanks,
David
