Annoying... virus?

Javaup.

It'd probably be easier to show you this instead of typing it all out.

It makes my Panda pop up several times each time I log in with this.

Oh, I forgoet to mention, everytime I delete the JavaUp icon, it reappears in my System32 a few seconds later.

I have two computers and one has had this for a few days. Then I emailed myself things and now I have it on here as well.

I'm just getting tired of it, and wondering if its going to infect my computer or not.

    Hi bow welcome to SWF, yes indeed its bad as far as I can tell esp. from here-->http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/javaup.exe-11874.html luckily panda blocked its actions or your PC could be in more trouble but just to be sure could you please do this for me:
    please go to http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and submit C:\WINDOWS\System32\javaup.exe for scan and copy/paste the results of it here in your next reply along w/ a new HJt log please:bigggrin:

    malware just as i thought, ok bow please do the following.. 1st open HJT do a system scan only and fix the following lines:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [spoolsev] C:\WINDOWS\System32\javaup.exe

    then reboot into safe mode (tap f8 coule of times upon startup and highlight safe mode) then please locate and the delete this file-->C:\WINDOWS\System32\javaup.exe then reboot in normal mode and post a fresh new HJT log please:bigggrin:

    hmm indeed it is ok lets try a more powerful removal tool


    Download Avenger from here:
    http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/

    Open the program. Check the 'Input script manually' option.
    Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
    In the box that opens, paste this(copy everything thats in the code box only):
    [b]Files to delete:[/b]
[color=#CC0000]C:\WINDOWS\System32\javaup.exe
[/color]

    and click 'Done'

    Click the Traffic Light icon to start the program, and OK the prompts to reboot your PC.

    Post the Avenger output.txt, which you can find at C:\Avenger\.txt & also a new hjt log please
