"New" Nforce 2 mainboard from Abit soon
The upcoming AN7, which will be based on Nvidia's NForce Ultra 400 chip set and support AMD's Athlon XP chip, will also include µGuru. The AN7 offers 10/100 Ethernet support, a digital audio interface, and Nvidia's SoundStorm technology with a real-time Dolby Digital 5.1 encoder. The board should be available at the end of October, Webskowski said. Pricing has not yet been determined.

The only new functionality with this board would be integrated SATA and the new µGuru. Abit continues the trend of releasing the same mainboard several times.

µGuru
Something must have been lost in the translation.
I'll believe it when I see it, sound more like just another useless buzzword that does nothing and won't be going anywhere.
I think I may buy this board simply for the MCP support, I really do want 5.1 game audio, but my sound system is too good to replace (Multiple Digital Inputs, but only Dual analog, not 6 analog inputs...).... but then what will I do with my Audigy?! ARGH...
NS
Not exactly. Maybe the first to integrate all of these features onto a single motherboard at once, but definately not the first with some technologies.
Asus has had QFan technology integrated into their motherboards for the last year and have had their Audio Port-Sensing technology integrated into onboard sound for 6-months. As for the ABIT Dashboard, Asus has been shipping their boards with PC Probe for as long as I can remember back (that being the Asus P3V4X).
Still, it's nice to see integrated SATA on Abit's performance motherboards.
