Steam Login Error

As you can tell I am new to these boards. I just signed up today seeing if I can get any help. Anyway, me and my friend share a Steam Account but I use it more than he does so he said it's mine. A few days ago I woke up in the morning
and went to play Counter Strike and it said something like "Steam Login Failed, the password or username you entered is incorrect". I did not even enter a password because i checked the Remember Password box. So, I asked my friend if he changed the password and he said he never did, and when he tried to log in steam with the same password it worked for him, but it would'nt work for me.
He logged off steam and told me to try and it still would'nt work.
So, am I screwed? is it Steam? is it my computer?
help is greatly appreciated.

    Make sure he isn't logged on at the same time. Also, I would ask him ti enter the password in front of you to make sure its the same. If he is logged on, however, it won't let you logon. Also, try waiting a few minutes after he logs off to log on.

    Sounds like he changed the password... Also Steam only allows 1 user per account they might have banned an IP or something, but I don't think that is the case as they usually just remove the account.
