Loss of post!

Man this cranks me!!!!!!!!!! I signed into SM.
I just spent 30 mins typing and pasting info on the folding tinkers problem and I hit the submit button and lost all of it because I guess my signin timed out or whatever, because it goes back to the signin page and I lose the post info.
This has happened multiple times to me... at least 7-10 times this yr so far!
Everytime this has happened- I just said forget it and didn't post.
Is it a problem that can be fixed or should I just type my posts in notepad or wordpad, then copie & paste?

It's not just this site. I've experienced this problem all over the web. Web based forms eventually time out, so if you think you're going to be writing a protracted post that might take you more than, say, five minutes, I'd definitely do it in notepad first and then paste it in.

I've learned that if you hit the back button, place your cursor in the empty text field (click in it etc...) and then hit ctrl+z, I just about always gotten my post back when it has timed out this way.

    Hope it works for you.

OK, Thnx guys. It just freaked me out when it happened this time.
Sorry for the rant. I just wanted to kick my pc but it's too high on the desk.
And I know that would have left me sittin on the floor crying from the groin pull..
I'll try the cntrl-z and if that doesn't work. I'll copie it before the post, just in case it times out.

Yeah, usually you press back and it's still there. Then just copy it, sign in and post again.
