Norton Save and Restore: Worth $10?

edited July 2006 in Science & Tech
So Norton has an offer: Norton Save and Restore for only $10.

Is it worth it?
If I do invest, should I get a backup hard drive? How large does it need to be? (i.e. as large as the hard drive I'm backing up or large enough to hold the data on the drive)

Thanks for any thoughts.

Check out prof's article on backup software here. I don't think Norton Save & Restore is necessarily worth $10 when Cobian Backup is free and seems like a very nice solution.

    Thanks!
(ahem) I didn't know that there was a non-forum section.

I read that review, but I am not entirely clear on one little thing.... backups I am not worried about too much... what I would like to do is have a windows backup. A backup which I can use instead of going through windows setup, I can kind of restore my system 100%.... I know system restore does this a bit, but I don't think it's 100%.

Kinda like norton ghost, but I don't wanna pay and I don't wanna use anything illegal :)

RWB: you definitely need ghosting software for that task. I don't know if there's any good free ghosting software out there, though.
