Looking for good video Capture box.

Okay, My granddad and I are working on a little video yearbook-ish type of project, and he is looking for a breakout box for himself, I have never personally needed one, but we are going to be using it for my computer.
He want an external VC device, so I narrowed it down to these two to use, one is usb, and one is FireWire, I personally told him to get the firewire one, but that the choice was up to him.
The first on is a Plextor PC-M402U, it is USB, and looks pretty decent. It is $140 with a $50 MIR.
The second on is a ADS Tech Pyro API-555. It is firewire, has more connection, and looks like a better product.
Will both of these work for Adobe Premier? That is my main concern, as it is what we are going to be using to edit the video.

They should both work with Premiere.
